Your Spiritual Self

To be able to connect with your spiritual self requires a quiet mind and the ability to be able to maintain the stillness long enough for the spiritual essence to filter through from the deeper levels and impact upon the conscious mind in the form of spiritual guidance. Learning to connect with the divine part of yourself, commonly called the Higher Self, the Energy Parent or the Christ Consciousness within, and learning to live this as an expression of life is one of the most important tasks for this time on our planet.

We are going through vast changes as we move out of one great age and begin to embrace the energies of another. There is a Great Unknowable Source from which all things have proceeded, be they human, animal, vegetable or mineral, be they in this Solar System or another and the most common term that we know for this Source is God, Mother/Father God, the Creator, the Infinite One, the Infinite Knower, Universal Mind or Universal Energy. The ancient cultures were aware of the masculine and feminine qualities that existed in the Godhead but divided them into archetypal forms and personalized them such as the Egyptian and Roman deities and the Greek and Indian gods and goddesses.

In all the Scriptures of the world, this Source has been personalized for ease of understanding. And because the side of it that we are aware of most of all, is active, powerful, knowledgeable and present everywhere, we have come to know it as our heavenly Father. You have become individual because the Creator has individualized Himself/Herself in you; thus you reveal the life of the Creator in the bodily state, although this is usually submerged by the current personality, unless you have activated your chakra system and become aware of your own inherent spiritual energies. But your mortal sense will blind you to this truth if you look without instead of looking within. Everything you need is within you.

You are all sons and daughters of the Most High, your spiritual self is asleep within you, and as you enter into communication with your Energy Parent, this is the attitude you should take in with you: a son or a daughter approaching your Energy Parent, the heavenly Father/Mother within you. Approach the deeper, subtle, parts of yourself in a loving manner. All you have to do then, is wait, resting in the energies your have invoked in Communion. Your spiritual self will then awaken, and all you have to do is torest in the energies and be aware of any information you may receive.Your Spiritual Self

Bring Some Variety into Your Life

If you’ve ever marveled at somebody’s creative prowess, guess what—you can create and innovate too and create a variety of different experiences for yourself—it just takes a little time. Everyone is born creative but in a unique and different way. The paint box you saw on your teacher’s table in grade school was not limited to her use alone. Everybody has the potential to develop the many creative aspects of their being. Don’t listen to what other people tell you that you can or cannot do. Follow your own inclinations. Allowing for the input of other people will only bring discord to the music you are trying to make. If you have an original idea, don’t waste your time and effort trying to make people understand. They won’t. And the help you will probably get will often come in the form of negative feedback. Did the geniuses of old listen to their peers? If they did we wouldn’t have the marvelous inventions we have today.

Some of the most innovative people from past eras have taken a nap, a daydream, and come up with an invention no one else thought of. Others have gained tremendous inspiration while taking a walk. Exercising certainly clears your head and allows different things to pop into your mind—especially creative pursuits. Make a note of these different things; there may be gold among them. Record your dreams. Aren’t some of them just the most vivid imaginations your conscious mind would never have thought of? This shows you the untapped innovative power you have lying within. So don’t waste it. Those dreams may just create an innovative spark in you. Be passionate about what you do! Nothing will work without passion. What makes you leap out of bed full of vim and vigour of a morning? What keeps the flame of ideas burning? What is the one idea that you wish you had the money to develop? Sometimes people with talent are walked over by the people who want it more. Sometimes you just want something so badly you become virtually unstoppable. This is what I mean by passion. Passion will keep you going. Without it, you may end up not doing anything.

But you also need inspiration; inspiration hits when you least expect it to, for those unpredictable yet inevitable moments you should always be prepared by having pen and paper handy. An idea could strike you as you are driving to work, or on the bus, and if you do not have a sheet of paper to jot down a thought that could change your life – need I say more? Avoid these disasters. Have a pen and paper with you at all times. Let a variety of ideas flow through your mind every day. Keep in mind that you’re doing these things for your own benefit and not anybody else’s. At this time you don’t want negative input. If you are successful, of course this will benefit everyone else as well. So explore the different areas of your mind; you might just discover some untapped resource, and mbring some variety into your life! The painting attached is one of my own creative inspirations from a long time ago.

Meditation for Mums

meditation for mumsMost mums are affected by stress at some time in their lives. This is why meditation for mums is very important, particularly when young children are involved. A balanced diet and a healthful lifestyle can be very helpful in managing the symptoms of this common condition.

SOME COMMON SYMPTOMS: There are various warning signs of stress such as
irritability, anxiety, tension headaches, muscular aches and pains, general tiredness, and depression.

COMMON SKIN CONDITIONS: Many mums under stress often suffer from eczema or psoriasis, but this can also be a symptom of digestive problems.

OTHER PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS: Sometimes if the mum is under extreme stress, she may suffer from heart palpitations, excessive sweating or even irritable bowel syndrome. In this case it is wise to seek the advice of a health care practitioner, as well as being involved in some form of meditation for mums.

WHAT CAUSES STRESS? The most common causes of stress for mums involves having to go to work when they would rather be at home with their children, money worries about not meeting the mortgage payments, and the relationship with their partner. Any of the previously mentioned problems cause cause a huge amount of stress. Unexpected events such as  the death of a loved one, losing a job, or moving are major sources of stress. Sometimes the stress becomes too much to handle and divorce can rear its ugly head, causing even more stress.

OTHER CAUSES OF STRESS: Naughty children who constantly try to prevent mums leaving for work on time; then there are such things as minor irritations such as traffic jams, which probably wouldn’t be stressful if the mum could leave for work on time.  Being late for a meeting can also be stressful.

SO WHAT IS STRESS? The body’s response to stressful situations is to produce adrenaline and other stress hormones to prepare the body for “fight or flight.” As we no longer have to “fight” as such as our ancestors did, nonetheless, there is still a strong response that causes these hormones to affect the metabolic rate, heart rate and blood pressure, putting the body into a heightened or “stressed” state so that it is ready to cope with danger. Although short bursts of stress are not harmful, long-term stress can lead to a build-up of these hormones, which can have a damaging effect on the physical body.

MEDITATION FOR MUMS: Some ways mums can cope with stress include: meeting with friends, reading spiritual information, walking, and gardening. Exercise helps mums to relax, so maybe try a yoga class or a tai chi class. Swimming or dancing are other stress relievers. However, the greatest reliever of stress is meditation for mums. Even if you haven’t meditated before, start by sitting quietly for 10 minutes twice a day. When you get used to doing “nothing”, try watching your thoughts. What type of thoughts do you hold in your mind? Work thoughts, thoughts of your children, relationship thoughts, food thoughts, angry thoughts, peaceful thoughts? Once you have discovered what you think about most, then you can begin to: a) change the thoughts to more positive ones if the thoughts are negative and b) begin to change the positive ones into a higher light frequency and c) fill you whole body with the higher light frequency twice a day for the 10  minute periods.

WHAT ELSE TO DO: Watch your diet. Eat plenty of whole grains, fruits and vegetables. In other words, have well-balanced, regular meals. Soon, you’ll be feeling like a normal mum once again.

How to Develop your Intuition

canstockphoto17015676Do you know how to develop your intuition? Intuition is a natural faculty that anyone can learn to tap into. However, it does take some time and effort to become accurate at it. But practice makes perfect! The more you use your intuition, the easier it becomes to trust what is coming through. Basically, you just have to trust what impressions you are receiving to allow your intuition to work for you. But you do need discernment as to whether you can trust your intuition. It may be coming from your own brain centres.

You can check your intuition simply by asking the question; “Is this coming from my Higher Self? The Higher Self is always steady, patient and will get you to your correct answer. If the information is coming from the emotional level, it may appear to be either hesitant or unsure or give you the information too quickly and then fade out. The Higher Self will still be there, and you will feel steady and feel that this is right for you. However, if you would like to develop this natural ability even further, you will find some tips below.

1. Meditation

There are various meditation techniques available today; it is just a matter of finding one that suits your temperament. Relaxation is a natural side effect of meditating, and is a good way to start to prepare for the development of intuition. When you are relaxed and the mind is quiet, it is easier for intuitive impressions to impact upon your consciousness.

2. Remain in a positive state of mind

When you can free yourself from the stresses of everyday living, and take the time to become relaxed and quiet, that will do much to improve your intuitive ability. By staying positive, you attract positive streams of energy making it so much easier to intuit events.

3.  Learn to listen to the inner voice

If you are on the brink of making an important decision, release, relax and let go of all inhibitions, and head to quiet, peaceful surroundings where you can tune in and listen to the still, small voice within you; that voice is always there – but it won’t be apparent until you still your mind and emotions.

4. Allow some time

After releasing all those things that stop you from thinking and feeling clearly, allow some time for your intuition to filter through to your conscious mind. It is like stirring up a muddy pond—you have to wait till the sediment settles before you can see the bottom clearly. Give it a little time then….Bam!…. now you have your answer.

5. You can’t be intuitive and sad at the same time

Happiness attracts immense power and part of that power includes intuition. In learning to increase your awareness to develop your intuitive skills, your motivation must be selfless but positive. Natural gifts like intuition, if abused by trying to find numbers for lotto or such like, will always be counter productive to your highest good.

Intuition, in most circumstances is extremely helpful, because sometimes it leads you in a direction that could not be found otherwise. A lot of lives have been saved by intuition alone. Help has seemingly come out of nowhere because someone used their intuition, and instead of the person being led on a wild goosed chase, they actually discovered someone badly in need of help at an accident scene or they were able to help someone find the right way because they followed an intuitive hunch to go to a certain place.  Decisions are made easier if you are armed with this gift. Develop intuition now by lots of practice and reap benefits you have only ever dreamed about. It can also be fun while learning how to develop your intuition.
